How Do I Get On Track? The simple answer is to have a driver’s license, a working car and a helmet, pay the entry fee and then show up! There are no additional licenses, no hidden fees, no pre-event qualifications. Learn more at SCCA.com.
SCCA Track Days provide an environment for drivers who simply want to increase the enjoyment of driving their vehicle. For most drivers, all it takes to be a part is your safe street car, a valid driver's license, and an approved helmet. Learn more.
Racing & Series
Club Racing
Club Racing/Road Racing
Club racing events are competition driving skill contests that emphasize the amateur competition licensed driver’s ability and car building skills. This is accomplished by driving a race course at one of the competition race track located throughout our region. Speeds are usually much greater than those normally encountered in legal highway driving, the combination of other race car competitors, concentration and car feedback creates an adrenaline pumping experience. Our races can last from 5 laps to 24 hours. It is true life racing/driving experience, but we turn both left and right!
SARRC Rules
Vintage Rules – These races are run in accordance with the SCCA Vintage Guidelines of Conduct.
Track Days (TD)
Track Days
Many of us have seen the disclaimer at the bottom of TV ads which say, "professional driver, closed course" and imagined what it's like to drive on track. With SCCA Track Days (Formerly known as Performance Driving Experience, or "PDX") you don’t have to imagine anymore.

TES
Tropical Endurance Series (Pending)
This will be a Florida Region and Central Florida Region racing series.
In order to be eligible for a Championship Award, a driver must compete in at least 3 Tropical Endurance Series races during the championship year as primary driver in the same class with at least one event being in each region (Florida and Central Florida).
Florida Cup
Club Racing/Road Racing
The Florida cup rules state: 6. Minimum Participation: To be eligible for a year end award, a driver must have participated in at least 3 of the 6 designated Florida Cup events in the same class with at least one of the 3 being a Central Florida Region event and at least one of the 3 being a Florida Region event. Participation is defined as having turned a wheel in an official session and entry not withdrawn (i.e. driver may appear as DNS in race results).
Solo/Rally
SOLO®️ (AUTOCROSS)
“Solo®” is the brand name for SCCA® Autocrossing and on paper it seems very simple – use traffic cones to make a mini-roadcourse in a large parking lot or unused airport tarmac and see who can drive it the quickest without hitting any cones or going off course. Despite the generally low speeds attained during competition, it’s one of the fastest paced, rapid-fire forms of motorsports you can find, with barriers to entry so low that many people are able to compete and be competitive at it. Competitors range from the casual participant who may use the same daily driver that they car-pool with to the hard-core driver who has a special car, special tires and uses lots of vacation days to squeak out every last fraction of a second. In between the extremes, there are levels and classes for different degrees of car modification. There are even classes for ladies and also a Junior Driver program for kids in age appropriate karts. Whatever your level or car – there is a place for you in SCCA Autocross
ROAD RALLY
RoadRally is a scenic drive with a purpose, a chance to enjoy a day with a friend, the least expensive form of motorsport and as one participant described it, “The most intense thing I have ever done.” Considering that his, “most intense thing” was done on a public road without ever breaking any laws in a car with absolutely no modifications – it’s clear that RoadRally is much more than a simple phrase can describe. Because events do not involve speed, teams do not need specialized equipment for their car. Although there are classes for vehicles with RoadRally-specific equipment on them, often teams will do the events with only pens, paper and a wristwatch. On the rare occasion the RoadRally is held at night, a small flashlight might be needed. Entry fees for the events are typically less than $40, and often events will even have classes for RoadRally novices.
RALLY CROSS
RallyCross is the most widespread and readily accessible form of extreme dirt motorsport in the Sports Car Club of America, and the perfect place to see if you have what it takes to power slide your way to victory. Imagine a scaled down version of a rally stage laid out on a non-paved plot of land where the course is delineated by traffic cones instead of trees or rocks. The entry fees and equipment requirements are considerably less than those to enter any other forms of performance rally, so in most locations one need only arrive at event registration with a safe hardtop vehicle, a helmet, and the entry fee. Many SCCA Regions have helmets to loan and will assist the first-time competitor with entering the appropriate class, making their way through technical inspection and finding their way around the course. Best of all, it’s great fun!
Car Classes
R1 & R2
Florida Region classes R1 & R2 (formerly known as P1 & P2) are for cars eligible to compete in sanctioned competition other than SCCA, but for which there is not an existing SCCA class. The cars must conform to the safety requirements of the IT category as a minimum. The cars must use DOT tires. The distinction between R1 & R2 will be determined solely by engine displacement. R1 will be for cars 2.8 liters and larger. R2 will be for cars with displacement less than 2.8 liters. Eligibility of a car for R1 or R2 will be at the discretion of the organizers.
ISE30
BMW Cars from a racing series for non M E30Cars produced between 1987 and 1991. At a minimum, these cars must conform to the safety requirements of the IT category, and drivers shall have a copy of their car preparation specification in their possession
ITEZ Regional
The purpose of ITEZ is to create a regional class where cars built for ChampCar, (ChumpCar) or similar endurance racing series will have a place to race on an SCCA Regional race weekend. As opposed to any other class of SCCA road racing, ITEZ competition is designed as a “fun run” class, without regards to balance of performance, or classes within the series. Class distinctions within the various series will not be enforced.
ITEZ is designed to provide a way for drivers to earn an SCCA racing license and race in regional competition, with the absolute lowest cost vehicle.
Drivers must meet driver requirements as listed above in the DRIVER ELIGIBILITY paragraph of these Supplemental Regulations. Waivers will not be considered or granted in areas regarding safety of vehicle or driver. Decision of officials with regard to safety elements are final and cannot be protested.
GCR 9.3.6. APPEARANCE NEAT AND CLEAN will be waived for this class. ITEZ vehicles may race with minor prior accident damage, as long as that prior damage does not create a danger to the driver of that vehicle, fellow competitors, or course marshals. Non-functional additions to vehicles, whose primary purpose is to express creativity or a theme, are not allowed.
ITEZ ELIGIBLE VEHICLES must be a “mass produced,” gasoline or diesel powered, four-wheel passenger car. Must meet or exceed safety requirements of GCR Section 9 for IT cars. Minimum weight of 1800 pounds and a maximum weight of 3500 pounds and a production‐based engine. Tires must conform to applicable Improved Touring rules, i.e., must be DOT rated tires, 130 (“H”) mph rated or faster. Wear‐dated tires are not mandated, but they may be used if the racer prefers. Preparation regarding brakes, suspension and engine must meet either Chumpcar (ChampCar)/Lemons/Other series type rules or SCCA Improved Touring rules.
Logbooks will reflect meeting IT safety rules, and driver safety rules for competition.
Eligibility of a vehicle for ITEZ will be at the discretion of the organizers.
Spec Miata T (SMT), Spec Miata, Southeast T (SMSET)
Spec Miata T will run under the SCCA GCR Spec Miata Category Specifications (SMCS)(SMCS) Section 9.1.7, and Spec Miata Southeast T (SMSE-T) will run under the SEDIV approved rules, with the following tire rule exception: Vehicles in these classes must use Toyo Proxes RR tires, size 205x50x15. All four tires on the car shall be the same manufacturer and model. The Toyo RA1 is also allowed but recommended only for wet conditions. The only modifications allowed to tires are having treads “shaved” or “trued.”
